SCOT students conducted a group therapy session in the Neuroscience department and MOTs and BOT interns lead the session. This collaborative effort brought a unique perspective to our activities, emphasizing the importance of both occupational therapy techniques and behavioral approaches.
INTRODUCTION:
Self introduction -
-using verbal and non -verbal communication to enhance interpersonal skills
-to promote motivation to initiate the session
Warm up phase -
-general instructions regarding activities
Activity phase -
ACTIVITY 1-PASSING THE PARCEL(WITH MUSIC)
-to encourage leisure, interaction skills, right and left discrimination and cognitive functions
ACTIVITY 2-PAINTING
-to improve and maintain ROM, cognitive and perceptual skills and frustration tolerance
Cool down phase -
-wrapping the session and thanking the participants
-revision of session and feedback noted
